- Visible focus, text descriptions of important images and controls with accessible names.
- Responsive layout for mobile devices and enlarged content.
- Respects the browser's reduced-motion setting.
- Forms with labels, status messages and clear consent.
Known limitations
The interactive Atlas automatically loads Google Maps, whose accessibility partly depends on an external service. The Atlas therefore offers a list of records alongside the map. Some metadata and complex administrator controls are still being reviewed against WCAG 2.2 AA; we continue to test keyboard access, contrast, screen readers and zoom up to 200%.
