Privacy and data

Privacy policy

We collect only the data needed to respond to enquiries, carry out editorial work and keep the platform operating securely.

What data we process

When you submit the form, we process your name, email address, organisation name if provided, selected enquiry type and message content.

Technical server logs may temporarily contain an IP address, request time and browser information for security and diagnostics.

Purpose, legal basis and retention

We use form data to respond to your request, communicate about a topic, initiative, expert collaboration or partnership, and protect the form against abuse. Data are kept only as long as needed for communication and records of cooperation, generally no longer than 12 months unless another contractual or legal basis arises.

Essential browser technologies

The public section currently does not use marketing cookies. The administration system and secure forms use essential session cookies and local or session storage for login, editing state and access protection. If we introduce non-essential analytics or marketing, we will offer the appropriate choice before activation.

Google Maps, Google Identity and typography

On your first visit, the external features option is shown as enabled, but no optional feature starts and your choice is not saved until you confirm it. Interactive Atlas loads Google Maps only after consent; before consent or after it is disabled, it uses a local map display. When Google Maps is enabled, Google may receive your IP address, browser information and technical request data under its own privacy policies. Google Identity is loaded only when the administrator login is explicitly opened. Public pages use locally available system fonts and do not fetch Google Fonts. The homepage does not load the Google map itself.

Recipients and transfers

Data are not sold. Access is restricted to people who need it to process enquiries and contracted infrastructure providers subject to appropriate data protection obligations.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing, or lodge an objection. Send your request to info@ekologija.hr. You also have the right to contact the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).
